• BUFF ORPINGTONS - sometimes known as "Big Buffs" make excellent setters. They are also a good brown egg layer and originate from England. These chickens are large birds with quiet dispositions that can take the cold well. Buff Orpingtons are loosely feathered and hens make excellent mothers. They are a light brownish-yellow (buff) as babies and are pure golden when they mature. Females typically weigh 6 lbs. and males are typically 7 lbs.

• MYSTIC MARANS - also known as Rustic Ramblers or Black Maran Sex Links - are good layers like Black and Red Sex Links and produce dark brown eggs. The breed is of American origin and a cross between the Black Copper Maran male and Cuckoo Maran female. Mature females closely resemble the Black Copper Maran, but have less leg feathering and less copper in the neck. Males take after Cuckoo Marans. They are black with some green in their tails. As babies they are black. They are dual-purpose. Females weigh 6 lbs. and males weigh 8 lbs.

• WHITE LEGHORNS - a productive breed of egg-laying chickens. A popular choice for small farm or backyard flock, our birds produce 300 or more eggs in a yearly laying cycle. These birds are a highly efficient white egg laying producer, consuming less than 3 pounds of feed per dozen eggs.
