These birds are SMART, nimble, and reliably lay an egg a day well into their 3rd and 4th years of production - and even beyond! While they are not going to be the birds that want to be held like babies (hello, Buffs and Reds!), we have found they are the least likely to succumb to predation of all the breeds, which makes them a great choice for free-ranging and pest control. Their light bodies make them more economical to feed, and they mature early to lay large, white eggs consistently.
